Flows around me,
Feeling like the days
I was young,
And of spring
Gentle, but
Invigorating
Reminds me of
Dreams of light
And
Days of being carefree
And just free, by itself.
Cold, but refreshing.
Like spring or summer
In some strange way
It brings an air
Of newness
Cleanliness
Yet
Of old days
Good times,
Raising goose bumps
On my arms
And filing my lungs
With new life.
Throughout our lives,
Our perspective switches
As we age,
As things happen to us,
The world changes.
When I was young,
Free, no secrets,
I imagined worlds
With my own view
Thought I was special
A being of light.
The world changes.
A boy, bright eyes,
Tells me secrets no one else knows
Confirms my old dreams.
No one can see him
But me, as he whispers
The impossible.
The world changes.
My mind is filled
With those knowing blue eyes;
Little girl in love
With a boy I don't know
His secrets float through
Daydreams, galore,
Of heroes and power
And he says
They're true.
The world changes.
Anger and despair
Can't believe

Literature
Depression and Pressure Sound Alike For a Reason
Beyond imagination, dark and deep,
Not sharp like blades
A weight on my heart
Suffocating
Hopelessly heavy
Immovable
Impossible to vaquish.
I blame others for it aimlessly
But deep inside
I know I brought it on myself.
The darkness was addicting,
Drug no one knows of but myself
I shed no tears that you can see
But I can see them, and they are
Blood,
A weight on my heart
Pain.
I wake up every morning
The dream drifts away
A moment spent
In confused memories of it
Trying to grasp it
But in this moment
It flies away
Like a bird
Set free.
I remember thoughts
Throughout the day
A moment spent
A word or two
Brings an emotion to mind,
Half-remembered
From a dream
That flies away
Like a bird
Set free.
I try to save it,
I try to keep it,
A moment spent
In a forgotten dream:
Adventure and Friendship;
Love and Fear;
Just feeling Alive.
Emotions that fly away
Like a bird
Set free.
I read back through the things you've told me,
Every little word that you say
And that I've said to you.
Imagining
Your voice
The way you laugh
The way you joke
And the way that I feel
When I want to be in your arms,
With your lips on mine.
And I sit here
So close to you
Yet so far away
Knowing you feel something too,
But acting on it is
Forbidden.
The tears don't come
But I still hurt
I read and
Reread
And
Reread
And
Reread
Your final words
Staring at the scratches on my arm
That spell out
Your name.
